Phirni



Ingredients:
5 tbs Rice (soak it for 1hr and make a granular paste)
1 litre Milk
2-3 thread Saffron
3/4 Cup Sugar
1/2 tsp green cardamom powder
10-15 Pistachios(Blanched,Peeled and sliced)
10-15 Almonds ( Blanched,Peeled and sliced)

Method:
1.Drain and grind the rice to a coarse paste.
2.Bring milk to a boil and slightly reduce. Add rice paste dissolved in a little water or cold milk.
3.Cook till rice is completely cooked, stirring constantly.
4.Add saffron and mix well. Add sugar and cardamom powder and cook till  sugar is completely dissolved.
5.Pour into earthenware or bowls and garnish with pistachios and Almonds.
6.Chill in a refrigerator for an hour before serving.

Tips:
 If u want healthy and diet phirni
  • Instead of Rice,Whole Milk ,sugar and Nuts use Brown rice,Skimmed milk, jaggery and walnuts respectively.
